About Us

Yizheng Chemical Fiber Corporation is the collective name for Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. and Sinopec Group Asset Management Co., Ltd. Yizheng Branch (abbreviated as Asset Company Yizheng Branch). Located in Yizheng City, Jiangsu Province, it covers a land area of 10 square kilometers. Formerly known as Yizheng Chemical Fiber Industrial Joint Company, the project was initiated in 1978, the entity was established in 1981, restructured into a joint stock company in 1993, and incorporated into Sinopec in 1998. In 2014, it was reorganized into a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec.

SINOPEC Yizheng Chemical Fibre Company Limited is Sinopec’s production base for mid-to-high-end polyester products and specialty fibers. It boasts an annual production capacity of 3 million tons of PTA, 3.1 million tons of polyester products (including polyester chips, staple fibers, hollow fibers and bottle-grade chips), 3,300 tons of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber, 1,000 tons of para-aramid fiber, 140,000 tons of maleic anhydride, and 6,000 tons of melt-blown fabric. Its annual capacity stands at 260,000 tons of engineering plastic (PBT) and 45,000 tons of polyester film (a joint venture with Toray Industries, Inc. of Japan), alongside an annual output of 100 million square meters of polypropylene fabrics under a joint venture with Freudenberg Group of Germany.

The differentiation rate of the Company’s polyester products exceeds 99%, with product quality ranking among the top tier nationwide. Its film-grade polyester chips have been awarded the national title of "Single Champion in Manufacturing". The output and sales volume of its polyester staple fibers lead the world, while the Company takes the top domestic spot in PBT technology and market share. Flagship products such as bright staple fibers, film-grade chips, hollow fibers and foamed bottle chips command the largest domestic market share. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber and para-aramid fiber are developed with fully independent intellectual property rights, with the Company leading the industry in relevant technological research and development. Its high-performance polyethylene fiber is manufactured via the only domestic dry spinning process technology.
